With the NBA trade deadline fast approaching on February 6, 2025, discussions about several key players are heating up. Notably, Brandon Ingram, the standout forward for the New Orleans Pelicans, is a focal point of these conversations.
As Ingram navigates the final season of his current contract, the buzz around possible trade scenarios has sparked intense curiosity among NBA analysts. Interestingly, a Western Conference team has positioned itself as the favourite to acquire Ingram before the deadline hits. Recently, NBA analyst Jake Weinbach shared insights suggesting that the San Antonio Spurs could be a prime destination for Ingram.
“As trade talk intensifies around Brandon Ingram, I think the Spurs are a realistic and “dark horse” suitor to land the talented forward. I like the potential fit of Ingram on the wing next to Devin Vassell as another shotmaker and core piece surrounding Victor Wembanyama.” Weinbach wrote in his recent post on X (formerly Twitter).

“Brandon Ingram landing with the Spurs is still very much a strong possibility leading up to February’s trade deadline.” Weinbach wrote in his other post on X.

If Ingram joins the Spurs, he would form a formidable duo with star player Victor Wembanyama. The Pelicans are in last place in the Western Conference standings, while the Spurs hold the 9th spot. Joining the Spurs would improve his chances of winning this season’s NBA championship.
