Amid the ongoing controversy with star wide receiver Antonio Brown, you sort of forget that the Pittsburgh Steelers had to deal with another controversy during the 2018 season when star running back Le’Veon Bell refused to sign his franchise tag and join the team during the season.
Free agency is more than a month away, but it seems that Bell has made his decision on where he wants to go.
According to FanSided, the free agent RB has his sights set on joining the Miami Dolphins.
Miami has an estimated $13.99 million in cap space, but reports suggest that QB Ryan Tannehill won’t be back with the team going forward, that will free up another $13.3 million. If they need more, and Danny Amendola and Robert Quinn are jettisoned, that would be another $19 million.
It should be noted that Florida has no state income tax, as well as Bell quite frequently went down to South Beach during his time away from the Steelers partying it up.
