When the Toronto Raptors made the trade for Kawhi Leonard, it was looked at as being very risky for a franchise that had no shot in retaining him past this one year.
Well, things changed quickly as the Raptors became one of the best teams in the league and they were rewarded by winning their first ever NBA title.
Toronto officially had their shot to get Kawhi to return to Canada and possibly want to defend the title he just won.
According to one Chris Broussard, that might not be the case any longer.
Kawhi has been rumored heavily to wanting to go back home to Southern California, whether that be with the Clippers or the Lakers.

This is not a good sign for a Toronto franchise who would most certainly take several steps back in the Eastern Conference without their most dominant player.
