The Detroit Pistons are not the greatest spot in the league right now. They are arguably the worst-performing team this season and have struggled to win games that they should have won. They even set the record for the most straight losses suffered by a team in the history of the league.
The blame for this terrible fate for the Pistons has fallen upon their head coach Monty Williams. Rumors have started to circulate that the Pistons might undergo a big staff shakeup during this off-season and make some necessary changes.
Pistons reportedly bracing for a major staff shake-up
It has been reported that the Detroit Pistons are preparing for a major staff shakeup. Jake Fisher of Yahoo Sports has revealed the news that the Pistons head coach Monty Williams could see his way out from the franchise after signing a six-year contract this off-season and then failing to produce results. It is also being speculated that the front office could also see some change in the upcoming off-season.
“For now, at the bottom of standings, there has been ongoing speculation amongst rival front offices regarding a potential change at Detroit’s organizational chart following the Pistons’ strugglesome campaign. At this juncture, according to one source with knowledge of the current situation, there is no expectation that (Monty) Williams will be open to any buyout of his six-year, $78.5 million contract,” explained Fisher providing his insight on the situation.

The young players in the team have also not performed well and have not had enough opportunity to do so.
