The Milwaukee Bucks are off to a rocky start with a 4-9 record. This has caused concern for their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, despite his outstanding individual performances. This disappointing start has led to increased trade rumors surrounding the two-time MVP.
Former NBA star Paul Pierce recently suggested a potential trade involving the Oklahoma City Thunder and Giannis. At the same time, sports commentator Bill Simmons sparked controversy by naming the Brooklyn Nets as an ideal destination for the Bucks’ superstar.
Meanwhile, NBA insider Mark Stein mentioned the Houston Rockets as another team to watch in the Giannis trade talks. Stein explained that the Rockets’ interest in Giannis could be a strategic move to buy more time in hopes that Kevin Durant may become available for a trade in the future.
“This has been interpreted in some corners of the league, as noted in a recent Sunday notebook, as a strategy designed to give the Rockets more time to see if dream trade target Kevin Durant were to become available down the road,” Stein reported.
“No matter how adamant Phoenix has remained about its desire to keep Durant in the desert,” he added.
