Arguably, Bronny James is one of the most exciting prospects in this year’s draft class. However, NBA draft analyst Jonathan Givony claims Bronny isn’t readily available to most clubs.
Bronny was once thought to be a late second-round selection. But it was debatable whether it was worthwhile to select him at all. However, interest in Bronny has increased around the league following his outstanding performance at the combine. Also, it includes the possibility that his father would follow.
Givony said: “I don’t think it’s going to surprise anybody that we have him going 55th to the Lakers. This is the way it’s been trending for years now and NBA teams that I’ve talked to say they cannot get Bronny James into their building, teams that are drafting in the late twenties and in the thirties.”
He added: “The Phoenix Suns have a second workout scheduled with Bronny later this week but other than that we have not seen any NBA teams be able to work him out. The sense among teams is that his agent, Rich Paul, does not want him on a two-way contract, and the range that he’s gonna be picked, that 40-58 range, those are where two-way contracts are handed out.”
Bronny, 19, is now recovering from his 36% shooting, a modest average of 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game during his freshman year at USC. Bronny didn’t play big minutes or have much effect on the floor. But he did show enough promise to be taken seriously in the forthcoming selection. It doesn’t hurt his argument that he is the son of an NBA icon, either.
Bronny James Was Seen Working Out in Lakers Gear
Bronny is slated to work out with the Suns again later this week, and his prior exercise with the Lakers went viral. The video has received several views and shows James Jr. wearing full Lakers apparel in the lab with his father.

While James has the choice of going pro or returning to college for another year, it’s reasonable to assume that the Lakers have promised to take him with the 55th overall pick if he’s still available by then.
Clubs are eager to go to any length to please their players. However, the Lakers must assist the King in realizing his long-held ambition of playing alongside his flesh and blood. Bronny James and Rich Paul are on the same page. So, they make their objectives plain immediately to guarantee they get what they want. Bronny’s family name carries much weight even as a C-tier draft selection. Also, teams will consider picking him only to entice his father.
