The Milwaukee Bucks, despite boasting superstars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, have struggled to find consistency this season. With a 7-9 record, the team currently sits in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. Though Antetokounmpo has led Milwaukee to a 5-1 record over its last six games, the Bucks appear to be more cautious in bolstering their roster.
According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Bucks are exploring ways to bolster their roster and provide more support for their star duo. The team has reportedly expressed interest in veteran forward Torrey Craig from the Chicago Bulls.
“No team has shown interest in making a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks at this time. MarJon Beauchamp ($2.7 million) and Pat Connaughton ($9.4 million) are the two players the Bucks have made available in trade discussions in order to try and add talent on the wing. Veteran forward Torrey Craig from the Chicago Bulls is a player Milwaukee has shown interest in,” Siegel reported.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Addresses Bucks’ Early Struggles
With Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dominant performance, the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Indiana Pacers 129-117 on Friday night. Giannis was the lead scorer in the win, scoring 37 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. Before winning against the Pacers, Giannis provided an honest reply on the Bucks’ slow start of the season, which even raised trade speculation around him.
“There’s still a lot of games. There’s 67 games left. We are trending towards the right direction; we’re winning at home. It’s not that bad,” Antetokounmpo said.
Antetokounmpo’s triple-double against Indiana marked his second triple-double in his last four games and his 47th career triple-double. The Bucks star is averaging 32.4 points, 12 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game this season.
