According to Front Office Sports, Taylor is nearing a deal to leave ESPN for NBC Sports. The report also stated the Worldwide Leader still has a chance to keep Taylor:
“The deal’s at the half-yard line. But that can still be a long way in contract negotiations,” a source told Front Office Sports.
Taylor’s current deal with ESPN reportedly ends on July 20th as she reportedly turned down a $5 million deal in 2020. Taylor, who currently makes $1 million, turned it down reportedly seeking “Stephen A. Smith money.” ESPN’s latest offer to Taylor is reportedly $3 million.
If Taylor does take her talents to NBC, Front Office Sports notes she could potentially be seen hosting the Sunday night NFL pregame show “Football Night in America,” covering Notre Dame games, contributing to Olympic coverage and appearing on the “Today” show.
Taylor is currently hosting “NBA Countdown” during the NBA Finals on ESPN.
