Mark Cuban previously said Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis have “dustups” then compared them to Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry: “If you remember, when we first got Jet, Dirk was not a fan. Dirk did not like him.”
Porzingis had zero clue what the Mavericks owner was talking about: “I’ve never had any problems with my teammates off the court, I’ve always gotten along very well with them.”
Not a single soul believed what he was saying.
According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN:
“Porzingis and Luka do not like each other.”
Porzingis has a max contract and cost the team multiple draft picks to be the second star alongside Luka. He was fairly disappointing during the regular season and even worse during the playoffs that resulted in the Dallas Mavs blowing a 2-0 lead and getting eliminated against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Not helping matters is that Luka doesn’t really like to pass the ball to Kristaps, as seen below.
