The Los Angeles Lakers are looking like a champion outfit already. Having been on a winning spree since the start of the season, the purple and gold brigade lost the plot momentarily. However, once they did come back, it was a 6 match-winning streak until it came to a halt against the Orlando Magic recently. Now, while this might not be that much of a concern, a recent rumored deal can further strengthen the Lakers’ chances.
The Los Angeles-based side already has immense talents in the ranks of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Add to that the electric form of the likes of Austin Reaves and Dalton Knecht. Surely, not many teams’ chances are looking as bright as the Lakers’ are at the moment. But these chances might just get a further boost. As per reports, Washington Wizards star Jonas Valanciunas might be joining forces with the Lakers soon.

This possibility was earlier teased by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “Matt Barnes played with Kobe… This happens sometimes, but you look at Valančiūnas certainly is a name that’s legitimately still on the Lakers radar, and we’ll have to see how Washington seasons go,” said McMenamin in an episode of ‘The Hoop Collective’ podcast. While it remains to be seen if the deal will be sanctioned, speaking about things leading to increased chances of Lakers’ playoffs, here is a LeBron James myth.
Will The LeBron James Myth Hold True For The Lakers?
LeBron James is an NBA legend, and that is a given. However, apart from his shining accolades, a lot of myths and interesting stats are also part of King James’ legacy. Likewise, in his career, every time his team makes a 2-0 start to the season, King James has played in the NBA finals. If that is an indication, then the Lakers’ 3-0 start this year will only make matters better for their fans.

In fact, the Los Angeles outfit had quite a blast in their opening games. The last time the Lakers won back-to-back games at the start was way back in 2010-11. And now, if management adds Jonas Valanciunas to the mix, it might as well be a season to remember for the Lakers.
