The All-Star Game was the first time in their Hall of Fame careers that Stephen Curry and LeBron James have played on the same team. It appears LeBron would love for it to happen for real during the regular season and postseason.
The four-time MVP has reportedly already started recruiting Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry, who is eligible for a contract extension this summer.
This is exactly what Brian Windhorst said:
“I thought it was hilarious over All-Star Weekend — LeBron praising Steph up and down. LeBron obviously has begun the recruiting of Steph in the event he wouldn’t extend, and that somehow he would become a free agent.”
LeBron gushed about the two-time MVP on social media following their partnership on the court together.

Curry quickly quote-tweeted James’ tweet and used the hashtag #Akron, pointing out that both superstars were born in the Ohio city.
Curry was asked postgame about his inaugural game sharing a bench with LeBron:
“It was a great experience, we had fun in the locker room chopping it up,” Curry told reporters. “Obviously the new format with the All-Star Game mixing and matching conferences even though he is in the West now, it was bound to happen and we had a great time. Obviously representing him as a captain, KD on the other side, and we got the win, so it was a memorable night for sure.”
Both future hall of fame players faced each other in the NBA Finals for four straight years from 2015 to 2018.
