The Golden State Warriors suffered a tough defeat in their latest matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, losing 104-112. The loss was particularly disheartening for fans, not just because of the outcome but also because of the unsettling sight of star player Stephen Curry limping off the court.
In the third quarter of the game, Curry was seen limping and later left the game due to a left ankle sprain. The four-time NBA champion scored 18 points, had six assists, and grabbed four rebounds during the match. While every Warriors fan was concerned about Curry’s health, Kendra Andrews of ESPN provided an update on his injury.
“The team is bracing for Curry to miss time, possibly several games, sources told ESPN.” Andrews wrote in her latest reports.
Andrews reported that although head coach Steve Kerr described the injury as mild or moderate, there is growing concern due to Curry’s history of multiple ankle sprains throughout his professional career. As Klay Thompson joined the Dallas Mavericks in the offseason, Curry’s health will have a significant impact on the team.
Steve Kerr’s Fearless Take On Curry’s Injury
Curry has been a dominating force behind the Golden State Warriors’ recent success. Alongside star player Draymond Green, he has helped the franchise clinch four NBA championships. His absence could be a significant setback for the team’s performance. However, head coach Steve Kerr is confident that the team can manage without Curry for several games.
“I feel more comfortable that we can withstand an absence offensively without Steph because of [our] depth. Wiggs is off to a great start and had a great night. He’s an obvious candidate to get the ball more. But we’ve got a deep team. We’ve got a lot of guys who can play. We will be ready.” Kerr said during a recent interview with Kendra Andrews of ESPN.
