Could Russell Westbrook be on his way out of town soon?
The Los Angeles Lakers had high hopes for the 2021-22 NBA season when they created their own Big 3, adding Russell Westbrook to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The team might be on a mini winning streak right now, but it has not worked out in the way that they had hoped.
Anthony Davis is in the midst of one of the worst jump-shooting seasons the NBA has ever seen, but it continues to be talk around Westbrook being moved out.
NBA Analysis Network’s own Evan Massey has confirmed that two teams have had preliminary discussions with the Lakers on a potential blockbuster trade involving the veteran point guard.
Westbrook was coming off a spectacular game where he had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists in 42 minutes in Dallas.
He is averaging 19.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 36 minutes per game.
