The New York Knicks desperately need to hit a home run this offseason to give themselves a chance to change the fortune of the franchise that can’t seem to land anybody that wants to play in Madison Square Garden.
That all might change in a few months after Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher appeared on FS1’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd and boldly stated Durant to the Knicks is a “done” deal.
Here’s another article from Bleacher Report that says that Durant is not only bound for the Knicks, but his good friend Kyrie Irving would “likely” join him.
“If you want rumors and predictions, they’re not hard to find in this gossipy league.
Rival executives will tell you, without hesitation, that Durant is bound for the Knicks; that Irving is likely to join him; that Leonard likes the Clippers; that Butler might choose the Lakers—unless he chooses the Nets.
Of course, they all might stay put. (Well, except for Durant. Virtually everyone believes he’s leaving the Warriors.)”
Durant had a very publicized shouting match with Draymond Green early in the season where Green had reportedly brought up his impending free agency that would ultimately get him suspended for a game by the team.
