Joel Embiid is furious after team secrets became public. In a recent turn of events, news about Tyrese Maxey lashing out at Embiid leaked to Shams Charania. Hearing the news, the 76ers star burst out in frustration. He immediately stated that the incident involving him and Maxey barely lasted for about thirty seconds in the entire meeting. Incidentally, Maxey allegedly called out Embiid for turning up for practice late on multiple occasions.
Embiid was enraged as he opined that the media waited to find out controversies about the 76ers star. Expressing his frustrations further, Embiid went on to call the person who leaked the news a “piece of s**t.” To add further drama to the entire incident, Embiid is reportedly on the hunt to find out who the snitch really is.
“So when ESPN reported details on Tuesday morning, from inside the 76ers’ team meeting following Monday night’s blown lead in Miami, one league figure close to Philadelphia’s All-Star center told me: ‘Joel is going to be furious.’ And that Embiid was going to try and find the Sixers’ supposed snitch,” NBA Reporter Jake Fischer wrote.

Well, this controversy only added to the sorry state of the Philadelphia 76ers’ current season. After playing 14 games so far, the 76ers have only managed to win on 2 occasions while succumbing to defeat 12 times. Things also went downhill for Embiid as he recently picked up an injury, making matters worse for the Philadelphia-based outfit. Interestingly, Embiid was not the only one who was furious about the leak. Paul George, too, expressed his frustrations over the issue.

In his recent appearance on Podcast P, Paul George discussed the Joel Embiid controversy. George, too, agreed with Embiid that the meeting itself was uneventful. In fact, George termed the meeting ‘healthy’. Regarding the controversy, George believed that the trust between each other breaks when such incidents occur.

“It being leaked, that’s where it kind of negates everything that we had in that meeting as far as trusting in one another and putting everything out there so that we can all have these conversations and it being not taken from a bad place,” said George. Thus, it is evident that the leak has caused some serious issues in the 76ers’ locker room. Now, it remains to be seen whether Embiid can find his snitch or not.
