All of the suitors are lining up their offers for the Brooklyn Nets in order to take a shot at landing Kevin Durant. And it appears as though the Boston Celtics could have one of the more intriguing packages to offer.
According to NBA Insider Michael Scotto, the Celtics could be set to send two of their star players away for KD.
Scotto indicates that Boston “could try to theoretically entice” the Nets with both Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, as part of a larger package for Durant.
The Celtics will obviously have plenty of competition, should they follow through in their pursuit for Durant. One of those teams they could be competing with is their division rivals, the Toronto Raptors, who are said to be quietly making a strong push for the former NBA MVP and two-time Finals MVP.
Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes are just a few of the names that have been mentioned as part of a potential Raptors-Nets deal—although, it’s believed that the Raps would be hard-pressed to part with the latter under any circumstances.
