With all the hoopla the Houston Rockets went through on Tuesday with reports of Chris Paul and James Harden not being able to get along and then being refuted with Paul & the GM, the team is still trying to make this squad better behind the scenes.
Jimmy Butler, who is from the Houston area, is expected to be pursued by the team in free agency, sources tell Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
The Rockets would have to clear significant cap space in order to get this done, which would mean finding a team to trade for Chris Paul and one of Clint Capela or Eric Gordon.
Houston previously tried to get Butler during the early part of the 18-19 season following his trade request from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
