After a strong start to the season, going 15-3, the Golden State Warriors have hit a major slump. Stephen Curry and his team are now 18-18, struggling to maintain consistency and dropping to the 10th seed in the Western Conference. Their challenges grew after Klay Thompson’s departure, who left the Warriors to join the Dallas Mavericks.
The Warriors found themselves short-handed with Thompson’s exit, but they quickly filled the void by adding Buddy Hield and De’Anthony Melton to their roster. Despite the additions, the Warriors’ struggles continue, signaling that these moves haven’t been enough to reignite their success.
Reports indicate that the Warriors are now focused on adding a big man to complement Draymond Green in their frontcourt. Among the players they are reportedly targeting are Nikola Vucevic of the Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz stars Walker Kessler and John Collins, and Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers, their top wish.

Turner averages 15.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. His defensive presence and ability to stretch the floor would make him one of the most valuable assets alongside Green.
If the Warriors turn to the Utah Jazz, Kessler could be an intriguing option, with averages of 10.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. However, Collins has averaged 17.9 points per game and has struggled this season due to injuries. He has played only 23 games so far. Despite his potential, his injury history raises concerns for the Warriors.
Another viable target is Vucevic, who is currently averaging 20.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. His experience and production on both ends of the floor could provide the Warriors with the much-needed balance and depth.

Stephen Curry Reflects On Challenges Of Juggling Two Timelines For The Golden State Warriors
Recently, Stephen Curry opened up about the challenges of trying to balance two timelines within the team. Curry acknowledged that the strategy of developing young players while also competing for championships has been difficult.
“I think the postmortem on some of the two-timeline stuff is not great. We picked Wiseman, who’s had a rough go. It’s not his fault, but we had an opportunity when we were at the bottom of the standings and had the No. 2 pick and picked Wise,” Curry said.
The Warriors’ two-timeline strategy was designed to allow the team to remain competitive while also developing young talent for the future. However, with mixed results from their draft picks and a championship window, the team has faced significant challenges in keeping both timelines running smoothly.
