We heard last week that there were reports of LeBron James finding it rather difficult to find any star players that would want to star alongside him in his ‘Space Jam 2’ movie that is likely to get started filming this summer.
It went from rumors to being somewhat true when we found the name of one superstar player who gladly turned down an opportunity to join LeBron on the set: Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo.
ESPN’s Malika Andrews was in the midst of interviewing the Milwaukee Bucks superstar when the conversation swayed towards LeBron’s movie:
“Being in the film would have required him to give up two weeks of private workouts to train with his fellow stars while making the movie, a total non-starter, given Antetokounmpo’s reclusive tendencies.
“I don’t like being Hollywood,” Antetokounmpo says. “I don’t like all this extra drama. I am just going to try to be me.”
It’s clear why LeBron would want Giannis as he is a co-frontrunner for MVP with Houston’s James Harden, but he’s also a Nike athlete with a new signature shoe on the way.

Giannis continues to show that he has insane work ethic that he’d rather keep on the court.
Back to the drawing board, LeBron.
