Joel Embiid has been one of the biggest names in the NBA realm. However, things have been turning out to be quite rough for the NBA star this season. Ravaged with injuries, Embiid has been finding it difficult to feature regularly for the Philadelphia 76ers. In a recent update, Embiid was diagnosed with a flared up left knee that is expected to keep him out of action for at least 10 days as per Shams Charania.
Now, after missing so many games this season, frustrations have reportedly crept inside the 76ers management. And if the reports are to be believed, Embiid and the 76ers’ authorities will be sitting down for a serious discussion.
“Ultimately the team and Joel Embiid will have to have some conversations about health because that has been the key word. I said that word yesterday that has played such a big factor with the 76ers season. from what I hear Joel Embiid remains rehabbing continuing to try to do everything he can to get back on the floor but there have been frustrations from my understanding throughout the year of not having him there,” said Shams Charania.
Surely, this season has been the one to forget for Embiid. He has just donned the 76ers’ jersey on 13 occasions. Most of the season, it was either his foot, facial, or knee injuries that have kept him out of action. Meanwhile, with his injury taking a significant toll, the 30-year-old has made an unwanted record.
