With the good season that he is having with the Los Angeles Lakers, you sort of forget that Dwight Howard is going through a messy court battle with YoutTuber and transgender Masin Elije.
It was back in November when the Lakers star asked a judge in his assault case to rule in his favor after Masin Elije seemingly stopped responding to the lawsuit. According to Bossip, Howard filed documents against Elije because he “never countered Howard’s contention that Elije didn’t have proof of any interaction between them.”
It was Elije who first kicked this off by claiming he was in a relationship with the Lakers star as well as the explosive claim that Howard “was in everyone raw” at “transgender sex parties,” and that he had an “understanding” with a “transgender prostitute.”
Fast forward to March and Howard is reportedly asking a judge “not to have to hand over evidence in a social media star’s assault case against him.,” according to Bossip.
“Howard filed court docs March 2 in a harassment and assault case brought by social media star Masin Elije, that asked the judge to not make him have to hand over evidence to his accuser.
Howard said that Elige’s discovery requests had nothing to do with the case, and were designed to harass him. Howard said he believes if forced to comply, Elije will use the information to abuse him and spread lies about him on social media. It was unclear Tuesday what kind of evidence Elije requested from Howard. We’ve reached out to lawyers for both Elije and Howard for comment.”
After Elije’s initial lawsuit, Howard and his lawyers counter-sued Elije for $10 million. Howard said he’s suffered “severe emotional distress,” physical and mental harm as a result of Elije’s claims, his legal docs state.
This case seems far from being over.
