The Dallas Mavericks are currently in 7th place in the Western Conference standings, holding a record of 23 wins and 19 losses for the 2024-25 NBA season. To improve their position in the standings, the Mavericks are reportedly reshaping their team dynamics by making one key player available for trade.
The Mavericks made an impressive run to the NBA Finals in the 2023-24 season but unfortunately fell short against the Boston Celtics in a five-game showdown. According to Christian Clark from The Athletic, the Mavericks have made Daniel Gafford available in trade discussions.
“The Mavericks, as The Athletic reported earlier this month, have expressed interest in conversations with rival teams about acquiring an impact perimeter defender. According to front-office sources with other teams, Dallas has dangled Gafford in those discussions.” Clark wrote.
