Not everybody wants to go back home one day.
Earlier this week, Anthony Davis agent, Rich Paul, informed his employer that he would not sign an extension this summer and would formally like to be put on the trade block.
There was also a report that he was expected to inform teams he’ll only re-sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, so there was no need for any franchise to try and trade for him.
Paul George said something similar as well, but he ended up getting traded to the Thunder, fell in love with them, and chose to re-sign instead of heading to the hometown Lakers.
The Bulls are expected to be one of several teams that will try to get Davis from the Pelicans, but it seems the big guy has no interest in going back home.
One of the worst kept secrets in the league is that Anthony Davis does not want to play in Chicago, his hometown.
Unless Anthony Davis has had a major change of heart since I was last informed, he does not desire to play in his hometown.

Davis has already stated to the Pelicans that he wants to go to a team that has a chance to put him in a winning culture year in and year out. The Bulls are a putrid 12-40 on the year. Not the ideal situation to go from bad to worse.
