Shortly after the Toronto Raptors lost Game 2 to the Golden State Warriors, reporter Kelly Linehan interviewed the wrong fan as he decided live TV was the best time to shout an inappropriate phrase towards Ayesha Curry.
“I just wanted to let everyone know: Ayesha Curry, we’re going to f—- her in the p——.”
Warkentin would soon speak to the Toronto Sun and gave a weak reason of being drunk as to why he did it. He also pointed out his lawyer informed him his awful comment does not fall under the Criminal Code, so he doesn’t expect to see criminal charges from this incident.
His lawyer was wrong. He has now been arrested, according to TMZ.
“Cops in Toronto have arrested the moronic Raptors fan who went on a live TV news broadcast and said he was going to “F**k” Ayesha Curry.
The Toronto Police Service says Warkentin was arrested for criminal mischief since he knew his comments would air on live TV.
A court date has been set for July 11.”
Warkentin claims he has been receiving death threats since the incident.

He also told the Toronto Sun, “I’m not in a position to defend myself in terms of what happened. I am sure you understand the influence of alcohol.”
“What I did was disgraceful; it was an alcohol-influenced situation … To be honest I don’t even remember being there but I am responsible for my own actions at the end of the day” and “am not sitting here claiming victim.”
Good. Nobody sees him as the victim and now he’s receiving all the attention he hoped he got from his comment. Have fun.
