Week 10 is done and there were plenty of exciting games that happened in the first week of 2024. Denver is currently making strides while some contenders are struggling as of late. The West is also getting crowded after the recent surge of teams such as the Jazz, Mavs and the Pelicans.
Today, we will take a look at the ranking of all 30 NBA teams after week 11
30. Detroit Pistons (Last Week’s Rank: 30)
After tasting a win in week 10 of basketball, the Pistons are now back at their old ways which is losing games. They have now lost four straight and things aren’t looking great for them with a tough schedule ahead.
29. San Antonio Spurs (Last Week’s Rank: 29)
The Spurs now have lost five straight games. The lone bright spot for them is the recent play of Victor Wembanyama. He’s having a phenomenal rookie season despite the losses piling up in San Antonio.
28. Washington Wizards (Last Week’s Rank: 28)

The Wizards were thrashed this past week and it was an ugly scene to watch. The Cavs lorded over them in back-to-back games and the Knicks quickly shut the door from them right from the get-go.
27. Charlotte Hornets (Last Week’s Rank: 27)
The Hornets managed to stop their bleeding by winning against the Kings in week 11. They went 1-2 this past week and it’s safe to say that this is going to be another losing season for the franchise.
26. Portland Trail Blazers (Last Week’s Rank: 26)
Week 11 started ugly for the Blazers as they were blown out by the Suns and the Mavericks. They managed to get a win against the sluggish Brooklyn Nets to end the week on a high note.
25. Memphis Grizzlies (Last Week’s Rank: 25)
This was a busy week for the Grizzlies. They managed to post a 3-2 record and were fairly impressive in their wins against the Lakers and the Suns. They still have a long way to go to turn their season around.
24. Atlanta Hawks (Last Week’s Rank: 23)
The Hawks are sliding further down the standings as of late. It looks like they are giving up on the Young-Murray backcourt as they are trying to move the latter if the recent rumors are true.
23. Toronto Raptors (Last Week’s Rank: 24)
After acquiring Barrett and Quickley from the Knicks, the Raptors suddenly looked like a dangerous team. They managed to win against the Cavs, the Grizzlies and the Warriors this past week.
22. Brooklyn Nets (Last Week’s Rank: 21)
The Nets are only 3-7 in their last 10 games and went 1-4 this past week. The only impressive thing they’ve done recently was winning against OKC. Just when you thought they’d figured things out, they then lost to the hapless Blazers a few nights later.
21. Chicago Bulls (Last Week’s Rank: 20)
Even with Zach LaVine back, the Bulls continued to struggle in week 11 of NBA basketball. The dynamics of the team have shifted and you might wonder if it’s time to blow the team up and head for a reset.
20. Golden State Warriors (Last Week’s Rank: 19)
Sadly, this Warriors team is fading right before our eyes. It really feels like their dynasty has come to an end and it might be time for head coach Steve Kerr to play the young guys more and plan ahead for the future.
19. Utah Jazz (Last Week’s Rank: 22)
Just when we thought that this was another lost season for the Jazz, they suddenly became hot and now have gone 7-3 in their last 10 games. The trio of Markkanen, Collins and Clarkson are playing exceptionally well as of late.
18. Los Angeles Lakers (Last Week’s Rank: 17)
The Lakers only went 1-3 this past week. LeBron is visibly frustrated about the team’s performance in recent weeks. Head coach Darvin Hamm has been receiving a lot of flak from their fanbase and the insults are getting uglier with each passing week.
17. Houston Rockets (Last Week’s Rank: 18)
The Rockets went 3-1 this past week and one of those wins was against Giannis and the Bucks. They are beginning to find some consistency with their play despite missing the services of controversial forward Dillon Brooks.
16. Phoenix Suns (Last Week’s Rank: 14)
With Bradley Beal in full strength, the Suns went 3-2 this past week but inevitably slid further in the standings due to the steady rise of other teams in the West. They need to establish their consistency soon in order to gain some ground in their conference.
15. Miami Heat (Last Week’s Rank: 11)
The Heat are slowly feeling the effects of Jimmy Butler’s absence. They went 1-2 this past week and the losses were quite alarming. After gaining some ground to finish out 2023, their momentum fell flat in the first week of 2024.
14. Indiana Pacers (Last Week’s Rank: 16)
It looks like the Pacers are starting to figure out how to maximize their potential as a team. As a result, they went 3-1 this past week and 7-3 in their last 10 games. Haliburton should easily make the All-Star team this year.
13. New York Knicks (Last Week’s Rank: 15)
The Knicks are on a four-game winning streak right now. The OG Anunoby trade has worked wonders for them. We could certainly say that he is a Thibodeau-type of player. In addition, Brunson has been playing well as of late.
12. Cleveland Cavaliers (Last Week’s Rank: 13)
The Cavs had a relatively easy schedule this past week and as a result, they went 3-1. The team is still lacking the services of Garland and Mobley but they are slowly making strides in the East due to their newfound consistency in games.
11. New Orleans Pelicans (Last Week’s Rank: 12)
Watch out as the Pelicans are on a roll right now. They went 4-1 this past week with wins against contenders like the Wolves and the Kings. Brandon Ingram is playing at a high level and so does veteran guard CJ McCollum.
10. Orlando Magic (Last Week’s Rank: 9)
The Magic just went 2-3 in week 11 of NBA basketball. They were not blown out though but things could have gone better had they executed well in crunch time. They still managed to post some impressive wins against the Nuggets and the Hawks.
9. Dallas Mavericks (Last Week’s Rank: 10)
With Kyrie Irving back in the lineup, the Mavs are starting to look impressive again. Luka Doncic continued to perform at an absurdly high level this past week. Many people felt he was robbed of the Player of the Month award in December.
8. Sacramento Kings (Last Week’s Rank: 8)
Sacramento only went 5-5 in their last 10 games and rumor has it that they are looking for an upgrade before the trade deadline. Pascal Siakam was their main target but the deal inexplicably fell off at the last minute.
7. Los Angeles Clippers (Last Week’s Rank: 7)
The Clippers were on a five-game winning streak before they surprisingly lost to the Lakers at the end of week 11. Their chemistry on the floor has been great in the last couple of weeks. They are becoming a legitimate contender with each passing game.
6. Philadelphia 76ers (Last Week’s Rank: 5)
The Sixers are playing sluggishly right now. They were outclassed by the Knicks and the Jazz in back-to-back nights. If this rough patch goes on, they are in danger of sliding down in the standings.
5. Oklahoma City Thunder (Last Week’s Rank: 4)
After beating Boston in what should be a statement game for this young team, they surprisingly lost to the hapless Hawks and the Nets to end their week. The losses should serve as a wake-up call to this Thunder squad as they have no business losing to inferior teams from now on.
4. Denver Nuggets (Last Week’s Rank: 5)
The Nuggets have gone 3-1 this past week and currently sit at the second spot in the Western Conference standings. Nikola Jokic had one of the craziest game-winning buzzer-beaters of the season against Steph Curry and the Warriors.
3. Minnesota Timberwolves (Last Week’s Rank: 3)
The Wolves had a largely forgettable week and just went 1-3 with losses against the Knicks, the Pelicans and the Mavs. They must have hit a wall because they are looking fragile recently.
2. Milwaukee Bucks (Last Week’s Rank: 2)
This was not a good week for Milwaukee. They just went 1-3 and their lone win was against the cellar-dwelling Spurs. Antetokounmpo has been playing great but the same cannot be said for the rest of the squad.
1. Boston Celtics (Last Week’s Rank: 1)
The Celtics went 3-1 this past week and continued to solidify their status as the top team in the league today. Their starting five is perhaps one of the best in recent memory. The only weakness for this team is their lack of depth.
