Colin Cowherd sure knows how to make fan bases lose their minds from the things he put out.
The Fox host recently sent out a trade proposal that would see the Boston Celtics swap Robert Williams III and salary filler for Anthony Davis in a recent video.
“Are the Lakers close to a championship team?” pondered Cowherd (h/t to Lakers Daily’s Zach Stevens). “No. They need like three more B+ guys, they have to get more dudes. And ask yourself a second question, will Anthony Davis remain healthy the rest of the year? You know the answer to that.”
“This is the time. Buy low, sell high,” suggested the Fox analyst, looking to Timelord as the solution.
“There are a lot of teams out East, and they’re looking at their roster thinking how do we stop Giannis? … the Celtics get Anthony Davis, the Lakers get Robert Williams, maybe a player. I’m just throwing it out there.”
The Lakers may be playing better lately, but they are once again a poorly constructed team. Russell Westbrook has seemingly found his calling coming off the bench, but the team still needs a ton of work to be done to be even considered a title contender.

With the help of Anthony Davis, he has engineered the Lakers’ 2-10 start into a 7-12 record. It’s not the best record, but the Western Conference is so close in records that a simple four-game winning streak could take them from 13th place to seventh place.
Davis missed Saturday’s win over the San Antonio Spurs but returned to play the Indiana Pacers on Monday night. They lost 116-115, but Davis had an incredible game putting up 25 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and four blocks.
Over his last six games, he has scored at least 25 points and grabbed at least 13 rebounds.
Davis is in his fourth season with the organization, and the former first-overall pick is averaging 26.2 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.3 blocks per contest.
