The sports and fashion industries might have different paths but have blended to form a new pathway. Many sports personalities have been spotted attending fashion events like the Met Gala, which grabbed a lot of attention from the fans of both worlds. One of them is former NBA star Dwyane Wade, who has an inclination toward fashion. However, his recent campaign with Versace stunned the NBA community.
The Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace recently dropped pictures of the former Heat guard in branded underwear on Instagram, which lit the internet on fire. Wade was seen wearing classic black and white colors, flaunting his toned bare body. While the white one had the brand name on the front, the black one was printed on the waist.
“My great friend [Dwyane Wade] looks incredible in the new Versace underwear collection! Dwyane, I so appreciate you and everything you stand for. Thank you for bringing your power to the collection and being part of the Versace family,” she captioned the IG post.
This is not the first time the two have collaborated. Wade also posed for Versace’s eyewear and made a grand entry at the Met Gala this year in his trusted brand’s lilac suit, which coordinated with his wife Gabrielle Union’s Michael Kors dress.
The fans were not only shocked to see Wade in that attire. But one of Wade’s former teammates also had a similar experience.

On “The OGs” show, the former Mavs guard told hosts and former Heat players, Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller, “I remember, one of the first days we’re playing pickup, D-Wade had just got back in town. We playing like a game already. I see somebody walk in the gym with nothing on but a pair of bright blue tights.”
Feeling awkward in that situation, Richardson thought, “Why is he walking to here like that? Where are his pants?” Continuing his story the 30-year-old said, “He’s like posting people up. Just with his tights on and I’m like, ‘I hope this ain’t what it’s gonna be like every day.'” Hearing the amusing incident all of them burst into laughter.
Wade returned to the franchise for that season and hung up his shoes after it ended. Even Richardson left only to come back in the 2023-2024 season.
