Former NBA star Ron Artest is probably angry at his son for resurrecting some painful memories on Halloween.
Artest was the final boss of the infamous “Malice at the Palace” melee between the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons… and fans on November 19, 2004. He made his way into the crowd after a Pistons fan threw beer at him, triggering a wild brawl in which punches were thrown, objects rained down on the court, and fans stormed the floor.
Ron earned himself the NBA’s longest-ever suspension for an on-court incident, getting banned for 86 games.
Nearly 20 years later, his son, Ron Artest III, brought it back, dressing up as his dad for Halloween, torn jersey and all.

Fans Think Ron Artest III Won Halloween
Ron III totally pulled it off, especially given the uncanny resemblance. Some fans even thought it was the older Ron.
“I thought that WAS Ron. Looks just like him,” one wrote.
“Wow, they’re like twins,” said another.
“Boy look just like his damn daddy,” a third added.
“Looks exactly like him holy crap,” said a fourth.
“Nailed it 🤣,” a user laughed.
“Dude straight up won Halloween,” someone claimed.
Artest, who won a title alongside Kobe Bryant while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, changed his name to Metta World Peace in 2010.
He would retire seven years later after spending 19 years in the NBA – minus those 86 games, of course.
His son, Ron III, also plays basketball and suits up for the Newfoundland Rogues in The Basketball League, having played his college ball at California State University.
