The San Antonio Spurs got a much-needed boost on Saturday night as Victor Wembanyama made his return from a three-game absence due to a knee contusion. The 7-foot-4 French big man played a crucial role in the Spurs’ 104-94 win over the Golden State Warriors, helping them secure the victory. Wembanyama’s presence on the court was definitely felt, and his performance lifted the team.
However, it wasn’t just his play that had NBA fans buzzing. A particular image of Wembanyama standing next to Warriors star Draymond Green quickly went viral, causing a stir across social media. In the photo, Green appeared to shrink in comparison to Wembanyama.
The massive height difference between the two left fans in stitches. Many fans even commented that Green looked like a child standing next to the towering Spurs star.

The amusing image sparked waves of laughter online, as fans couldn’t get enough of the sight of Green seemingly looked like a dwarf infront of Victor Wembanyama. Some even joked that the picture had been photoshopped, as the height difference was so striking it was hard to believe at first glance.
It was not the first time that Victor Wembanyama got attention due to his towering height. Recently, even Spurs legend Tim Duncan appeared small when he was spotted next to the towering young center in the Spurs facility.
Steve Kerr Praises Spurs Star Victor Wembanyama
After returning from injury, Victor Wembanyama played nearly 35 minutes against the Warriors. The Spurs young star ended up leading the Spurs to close the night with a win improving their standings. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was full of praise for the Spurs star after the game.
“He was amazing. Blocking shots, thwarting others, just being a presence in the paint—it was an impressive performance by him and the whole team defensively,” Kerr said.
Against the Warriors, the Spurs star scored 25 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks. But he saw some struggles with his shooting. He finished 4-for-13 from beyond the arc and 9-for-21 on all field goals.
