Pelicans Star Zion Williamson Addresses Trade Rumors After Return From Injury
On Tuesday, Zion Williamson made his long-awaited return to the court after missing two months due to a left hamstring strain. The New Orleans Pelicans star’s comeback was highly anticipated, not only for his performance but also because of the trade speculation that arose during his absence. Following the game, Williamson addressed those rumors during the post-game press conference.
“As a professional, the only thing I can do is come in to work every day, work hard, and have fun. At the end of the day, I get to play basketball for a living. I love hooping. Me and Dejounte talk about it a lot, not taking this for granted,” Williamson said.
Despite Williamson’s return, the Pelicans suffered a 104-97 loss against the Timberwolves. The loss brings their season record to 7-30. In his comeback performance, Williamson contributed 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
