Former NBA Slam Dunk champion Desmond Mason has seen better days in his life, and they came when he wasn’t behind bars.
On Wednesday, the former Seattle SuperSonics star high flyer was jailed in Oklahoma.
Mason was arrested on a charge of contempt of court. He wouldn’t be long as he got released later that night on a $50,000 bond.
The 47-year-old Desmond Mason was jailed due to an issue in his divorce case with his ex-wife, Andrea Mason, per TMZ.
TMZ further added the former NBA star failed to appear at a court hearing despite being ordered to do so.
His mug shot would soon be released.

Desmond Mason first made his name at Oklahoma State as a high flyer. He averaged 13.2 points per game, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 129 games played.
The Seattle Supersonics selected Mason in the first round of the 2000 NBA Draft.

The sports world knows Desmond Mason as a 10-year NBA veteran, a high riser, and a dunk master.
At the 2001 Slam Dunk Contest, he made his name in the league when he beat out DeShawn Stevenson, Stromile Swift, Corey Maggette, Baron Davis, and Jonathan Bender.
He became the first Supersonics’ player in franchise history to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
In 2003, he would put on another show as he and Jason Richardson put on one of the best shows that has ever been seen.
