Following the Pheonix Suns’ early elimination at the hands of the Nuggets, Kevin Durant had the opportunity to get an extended vacation. Ahead of the Paris Olympics, this is the last chance to make the most of the off-season rest, and KD made sure to do exactly that.
But KD is a man of the people, so his holiday plans involved his humanitarian efforts. Recently he visited Stockholm, Sweden to attend the Brilliant Minds conference with Boardroom. Durant previously funded a basketball court in Tensta, and now he made sure to drop by.
He interacted with the local kids and showed off his hooping talents on the court. His interaction with communities is nothing new, as he did the same famously back in 2011. During the NBA lockout, the former OKC star took the famed court of Rucker Park and dropped a legendary performance.
Recently, rapper Fat Joe said that Durant was chased out of their, due to his 82-point performance, but the Suns forward squashed the story.
Another story recently came to the surface about him and this one involves his former teammate, Stephen Curry.

During a recent episode of “Gil’s Arena” podcast, former Warriors guard, Nick Young revealed an intriguing story about his teammates in San Francisco. He said, “I remember they were neck and neck — KD and Steph. And then Steph had one bad game, and Durant was hitting. In the locker room, Steph’s head was down and damn near tears after a win. He wanted to win that b*tch. Durant was trying to give it to him because he won the year before, but Steph couldn’t make a shot. It was the lowest he scored in the Finals.”
The incident mentioned here is from the 2018 NBA Finals, where Curry and Durant were involved in a mini-battle of their own apart from the actual opponents. The two went neck-to-neck till the last paces, but KD ultimately took the Finals MVP.
In the off-season, Durant is again linked to a move to the Warriors amid his uncertain future with the Suns. His former stomping ground, the OKC, is also linked with the 2-time NBA champion, but as of now, no concrete evidence can be provided. With the Paris Olympics ahead, the situation can only be clarified once Team USA returns from their international venture.
