One of the NBA’s most effective high-volume scorers, Kevin Durant, has played in more games than any other player since 2018. He is the type of player who loves to avoid risky plays. His ability to adapt and contribute in whatever manner reflects his commitment to the sport that has given him so much success in the Phoenix Suns.
Sadly, the Suns forward has lately been the center subject of trade rumors in the NBA. Instead of ducking the limelight, he has fiercely blasted against the false rumors.
Rumors circulated on the opening night of the 2024 NBA Draft about Kevin Durant being traded from the Phoenix Suns. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Rockets were interested after acquiring future draft picks from the Nets. That same day, Stephen A. Smith mentioned on “First Take” that “[The Suns] want out of Kevin Durant right now.“
Recently, Durant addressed these rumors in a conversation with Yahoo Sports after Team USA’s first practice on Saturday. While talking about his plans to quit and how the team will work in the future, the 35-year-old expressed his annoyance: “It seems like pressing the ‘KD wants to leave’ button is a convenient way to attract attention. Yes, it’s a button. What else could cause a stir at this point, except for people speculating, ‘Oh, the journeyman is leaving again.’ That narrative will always be attention-grabbing.”
Kevin Durant Sends Klay Thompson a Heartfelt Farewell Message
The Golden State Warriors has parted ways with Klay Thompson after a remarkable 13-year run. In an emotional Instagram post on Friday, Klay thanked the team and fans for constant support. Durant, who played with Thompson during his successful stay at the Warriors from 2016 to 2019, paid a touching tribute to his former teammate.
“A Bay Area God,” wrote Durant. “One chapter closes, another one opens. Keep doing you champ.“
