Prior to the Philadelphia 76ers’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, head coach Nick Nurse stated that it is probable the seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid will return before the regular season ends.
Joel Embiid, who leads the team in scoring and rebounds this season was averaging 35.3 points, as per NBA Website. Embiid has missed 27 games due to a meniscus injury he sustained against Golden State on January 30 that needed surgery on February 6. As of Wednesday, the Sixers had a 10-16 record in the contests played since Embiid’s injury.
When Embiid will return has not been verified by recent rumors. According to John Clark, a reporter at NBC Sports Philadelphia, the center may make a comeback in two to three weeks.
Joel has missed time due to an injury in the game against the Warriors on January 30. The Sixers’ record sans Embiid is 10–16. The squad is currently fighting for play-in positions after finishing solidly in the top four of the East seeding. Philadelphia trails the top six safeties by 1.5 games in the East standings.

Joel Embiid’s Absence Has Left the 76ers With Several Injury Concerns
Kelly Oubre’s status for Wednesday’s game is uncertain due to a shoulder injury. Due to a knee injury, Robert Covington will not play against the Clippers. Tyrese Maxey has returned to full health after missing time due to a concussion. He may be kept out for a long while if he has another head injury.
