It seems the toxic relationship that Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics have will definitely come to an end this offseason with the star point guard expected to move on to another team.
On Monday, general manager Danny Ainge seems prepared for the bitter divorce when he spoke to reporters about this summer’s free agency and it had Celtics fans thinking he was throwing shots at Kyrie Irving.
“I think it just makes life more enjoyable when everybody is humble, hardworking, and will play any role they have to help the team succeed,” Ainge told reporters. “You do have to have a certain amount of talent to win in our league, as we all know, but good people makes coming to work more fun.”
Even though Kyrie stated he would re-sign with the team during a pre-season event, it was back in February when Kyrie threw those statements in the trash by stating, “I don’t owe anybody shit.”
