Paul Pierce said he had something big coming, and it appears we have that answer.
Earlier this month, Pierce shared videos on Instagram showing him smoking what appears to be marijuana while surrounded by women in skimpy lingerie. ESPN responded by parting ways with him. The 43-year-old spent the past three and a half years with ESPN as a regular contributor to top studio shows NBA Countdown and The Jump.
Weeks later, Pierce took to his Instagram story to show off his massive marijuana grow house.
The former Celtics star announced back in 2019 he was launching his own CBD line called ‘The Truth.’ He said at the time, vaping CBD helped him manage crippling depression, post-traumatic stress, and anxiety resulting from a life-threatening nightclub stabbing in 2000.
In 2020, he found himself in the news being sued by Kenneth Johnson, who claimed Pierce hired him back in 2016 to “design and develop a warehouse to cultivate cannabis from inception to completion.”
Johnson claims Pierce offered him $10,000 per month and required him to move to Los Angeles. Soon after, however, Pierce inexplicably cut his pay to $4,000 a month.
