Not many youngsters remember or even know that Paul Pierce was stabbed multiple times during his career with the Boston Celtics.
It was September 25th, 2000 when the incident took place at a local night club called the Buzz Club, which is no longer in business.
During a recent episode on the “All The Smoke” podcast, the former Celtics legend recalled that night where he was simply speaking with a young lady in the club when he got approached by a dude. After a few words were exchanged, Pierce said a fight broke out, but he had no clue he was even stabbed.
He stated he was stabbed 3 times in the stomach and 5 times in the back, and got hit in the head with a bottle.
“I’ll never forget that day, stabbed eight times, nearly died.”
”I was young, hanging out all of the time. Going to the clubs. It was a night I went into Buzz Club. I caught myself talking to some young ladies. I’m single at the time, next time I know a guy approaches me that’s like, ‘You don’t talk to her,’ and I’m like, ‘What?.’”
“It happened so fast, man. I don’t know how it got into it. It’s just one dude right here. Then the story comes out I was fighting with three guys.”
