Paul Pierce is that person.
Since his retirement, the former Boston Celtics legend has shown he can jinx an entire franchise just by stating they will win a certain game.
That was the case on Thursday when Pierce selected the Raptors to defeat the Warriors in the NBA Finals in six, ultimately screwing over the team’s chances of actually winning anything.
Yep, that means the Warriors are definitely sweeping the series now.
