I don’t know what it is about past NBA players, but they are just not watching these games today, and they are being paid to do so and provide correct analysis on it.
Paul Pierce is just the latest as he tried to make a case for Joel Embiid being the MVP during a recent 76ers game.
Without Embiid in the lineup, the 76ers went out and destroyed the Spurs by 35 points. Pierce, who clearly didn’t watch, tried to explain Embiid’s importance for this team and why he should win the 2021 MVP because the 76ers lost the game by so much.
That wasn’t true.
