Paul George has had a rocky start with the Philadelphia 76ers in his first season with the team. Nevertheless, it hasn’t stopped him from reflecting on his past, particularly his time with the Indiana Pacers.
Despite spending seven seasons with the franchise, George admitted he still feels slighted by the Pacers for never receiving a tribute video. Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire recently reported that George opened up about his lingering frustration.
“We were joking with the guys, and they were like, ‘Do you still get a tribute video when you go to Indiana?’ I was like ‘I’ve never gotten a tribute video since I’ve been going back to Indiana,’ and that was eight years ago,” Carlin reported.

“It does, you know, it sucks. I think the way things played out still holds a grudge to them, and they don’t realize the great runs we had in the time I was there,” he added.
George was drafted by the Pacers in 2010 as the 10th overall pick. He soon became a star with the team, averaging 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. He led Indiana to multiple deep playoff runs, including back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals appearances in 2013 and 2014.
Nick Nurse Provides Injury Update On Paul George
The 76ers pulled off a 118-104 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, despite being without Paul George. George was sidelined after injuring the little finger on his non-shooting left hand during their game against the Chicago Bulls. Ahead of the game, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse provided an update on George’s status, assuring fans that the injury wasn’t serious.

“I think it is day-to-day. We’re happy that we know it’s not going to be super long, that it’s not major stuff. I think they’re working on trying to figure out how to get him back as fast as they can,” Nurse said.
This isn’t the first time George has missed games this season. He has already dealt with knee and groin injuries. The 76ers will continue monitoring his condition, with a scheduled reevaluation set for Wednesday.
