Julius Randle is currently at the center of trade discussions, with the New York Knicks considering him as a potential trade asset. Tensions have risen between Randle and the Knicks, and the situation escalated when Randle became frustrated with a fan’s misplaced information about his jersey sales.
Former NBA star Patrick Beverley has weighed in on the situation and believes it’s time for Randle and the Knicks to part ways. During an episode of the Pat Bev Pod, Beverley shared his thoughts on where Randle should go next, suggesting the Sacramento Kings as an ideal fit.
“Man, I don’t know. It’s tough when you sign all of those guys at that position. His size, his type of players. I mean, the writing is on the wall. When the Clippers got James Harden, I knew Paul George would be out of there. I mean, one plus one is two,” Beverly said.
“I’d like to see him Sacramento Kings… That’d be nice. Him in Sac. That’d be different,” he added.
Julius Randle’s Trade Value Uncertain After Tough Season with Knicks
Julius Randle has spent the last five seasons with the New York Knicks, helping lead the team to three playoff appearances. However, the 2023-24 season was a difficult one for Randle. Because injuries sidelined him and forced him to miss the entire 2024 playoffs.
The injury struggles may have contributed to growing frustrations between Randle and the Knicks organization. Despite this, no team has shown significant interest in acquiring Randle thus far. According to The Athletic’s Fred Katz, rival teams currently view Randle’s trade value as “neutral at best.”

“I don’t believe there is a team in the NBA that would value the three-time All-Star more than the Knicks do. I texted this question to someone who works in a rival team’s front office and received an answer I expected: “Neutral, at best,” he reported.
Before the injury, the Knicks star averaged 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists last season. It remains to be seen whether Randle will stay in New York or find a new team for the upcoming season.
