After spending 12 seasons in the NBA, Patrick Beverley has taken his talents overseas to join Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israel League this year. The veteran guard expressed his excitement about this new chapter in his career, stating that the team met all his demands, making it hard for him to say no.
On a recent episode of his podcast, “Pat Bev Pod,” the former NBA guard shared how he feels about playing in Israel. Beverley also touched on the interest from other Euroleague teams amid the ongoing situation in the region.
“Legs feel good early. I got a coach, and I got teammates that trust me. I know I’m gonna have the ball. It’s different when you know you gonna have the ball a lot. It’s just really different. So I don’t have to go out there and try to like shoot my load fast,” he said.
“We’ve been having a couple of teams reach out, obviously because of what’s going on with the war. They want to know if I’m gonna stay here or where I’m gonna go. But I like it here, man. It feels good. I love my teammates. I love my coach. I love the owner,” he added.
