The Los Angeles Lakers rookie star Bronny James has been in the spotlight largely due to the incredible legacy of his father, LeBron James. As the son of an NBA legend, Bronny is no stranger to special attention, and this was particularly evident during the Summer League. Despite a performance that some critics found lackluster, Bronny received special treatment compared to other young stars.
Recently, Indiana Pacers star Kyle Mangas voiced his frustration regarding the special treatment Bronny received while playing for the Lakers. Speaking on the Locked On Pacers podcast, Mangas shared his thoughts on the situation.
“There’s so much media surrounding him. We would get off the bus at our hotel, and there’d be 250 people waiting for him to get off just to film and walk into the hotel,” Mangas said.
“You’ve got to feel for a kid like that. There’s just a lot of pressure and publicity, and that’s hard to get away from sometimes. [I] think he handled it pretty well from what I saw,” he added.
