When Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic walked over to a fan seated courtside, grabbed his phone, and threw it a few row back into the stands, everyone was left wondering exactly what sparked such a reaction from the big man.
The footage in question shows Nurkic in plain clothes, walking up to the fan, getting in his face, grabbing his cell phone, and tossing it behind him. Meanwhile, the fan is left standing there, asking why Nurkic did what he did.
We were all wondering the very same thing, and it turns out we have our answer.
According to NBA Insider Chris Haynes, the fan apparently shouted at Nurkic, “your mom is trash,” and “your grandma’s a bitch.” Those are already some disrespectful comments as is, but what made matters even worse is the fact that Nurkic’s grandmother passed away just a few years ago from Covid-19.
It all this it true, the fan should be thanking his lucky stars he only has a broken phone — and not a broken face.
