Several thousand happy Los Angeles Lakers fans streamed into downtown Los Angles outside Staples Center Sunday night to celebrate the team’s 17th NBA championship.
It was a joyous occasion as fans could be seen chanting Kobe Bryant’s name in the streets of L.A.
Los Angeles police could be seen in tactical gear, and for good reason, because several businesses were damaged and vandalized, according to NBC Los Angeles.
One person was arrested for vandalism and five were arrested for looting.

Even a starbucks wasn’t safe on this night:
“Eight officers were treated for injuries and two members of the crowd were taken to hospitals after being injured by so-called less lethal munitions fired by officers, the statement said.
The celebration by about 1,000 people was initially largely peaceful but “unruly individuals” mixed into the crowd and threw glass, bottles, rocks and other projectiles at officers, police said in the statement.”
All in all, there were 76 people were arrested and more than 30 buildings and business were damaged.
