Orlando Magic has been on a roll ever since the start of the NBA season. While their preseason was not the most impressive one, to begin with, things have certainly gotten interesting. So far, the Magic outfit has crossed paths against the Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets. On both occasions, the Magic got the better of their opponents. Thus, it is no wonder that their star prospect, Paolo Banchero, has made a bold claim about the best basketball city in North America.
Speaking recently in a YouTube video with NBA on ESPN, Banchero spoke his heart out about this season. Navigating through a number of topics, Banchero reflected on which city he thinks has the best resources to carve a champion baller. He stated, “Seattle… I think Seattle is pound-for-pound the best basketball factory in the country…When you look at just the depth we have in the history, we got years on years.”
The NBA All-Star then went on to justify his pick. Banchero immediately turned back the pages and reminisced about the legendary athletes that Seattle has produced. He name-dropped the very first icon, Doug Christie. The 21-year-old then went on to name the likes of Isiah Thomas, Jason Terry, and Jason Crawford. Now, carrying forward the legacy, Banchero is looking to build on his reputation by becoming an even more formidable prospect in the coming days.
As for Banchero, he has been in red-hot form since the start of the season. A lot of credit can be given to Banchero’s impressive workout routine. Playing a crucial role in the victory of his team, the All-Star had some of the most impressive statistics in both games.
