An old video of New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has resurfaced on the back of his team’s impressive climb.
The Pels are in a rich vein of form at the moment and lead the NBA’s Western Conference, having won six of their last 10 games to share a 23-12 record with the Denver Nuggets.
Zion scored 36 points, along with five rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes during a 127-116 win over Eastern Conference powerhouse, the Philadelphia 76ers, on Friday night. Prior to the game, the Western Conference side must have unearthed an old video of their star forward tossing a football; because they’ve tweeted it.
In the video below, you could see Zion casually launching a football the length of the field in 2017.
The video has garnered over 1.2 million views since it was posted.
Zion, a former No.1 overall pick appears to have quite an arm on him, which should come as no surprise as he’s one of the strongest athletes playing pro sports right now. He would have probably been great in the NFL too, though he would probably be best used elsewhere on the field given his incredible speed at his size.
