Things continue to go from bad to worse for the Brooklyn Nets and Ben Simmons. After basically forcing himself out of Philadelphia, Simmons has yet to play a single minute in a Nets uniform. Despite reports that he was ready to suit up for Game 4 tonight in Brooklyn, that will not be the case as the Nets will try to stave off elimination at the hands off the Celtics without him.
With Boston holding a commanding 3-0 series lead, a sweep seems inevitable at this point as the Celtics have been the superior squad thus far. An old tweet that Simmons sent out back in 2020 resurfaced recently and it is not a good look for the Nets Guard.
Simmons sent out that tweet the day after his 76ers were swept by the Celtics and the irony could not be more real as history appears to be repeating itself. He clearly has not contributed anything to prevent that from happening again and the Twitterverse is not letting him forget it.
