It is time for a celebration in Oklahoma as their G-League team, the Oklahoma City Blue, has won their first-ever G-League championship. The OKC Blue faced the Maine Celtics as their opponents in the G-League Finals.
The final game between the two teams took place at the Porto Expo Building on Monday night, where the OKC Blue defeated Maine with a final score of 117-100. Thunder assigned player Ousmane Deing claimed the MVP honors after scoring 25 points, collecting six rebounds, providing six assists, and making two blocks to win the game for his team.
The Oklahoma team started strong in the first half, establishing a 29-22 lead. As the game progressed, they outscored Maine by 16 points in the second quarter, ending halftime with a commanding 63-40 lead. The third and fourth quarters were tough battles for both teams. However, OKC Blue emerged victorious, leading 92-67 in the final moments. Although Maine tried to make a desperate push in the closing moments, they were held off by Oklahoma.
The clock ran out of time, and OKC Blue became the first-time G-League champion. Thunder assignment player Lindy Water III played a tremendous, supportive role in Deing’s life. Lindy scored 15 points and collected 11 rebounds for the team.
All other two-way players also displayed active participation in the victory. Olivier Sarr scored 10 points and collected 13 boards. While Keyontae Johnson added 14 points, Adam Flagler netted 13 points, and Jahmi’us Ramsey added 18 points coming off the bench for Oklahoma City.

The locker room of the OKC Blue witnessed a wild celebration after they won the championship for the first time in their history. A video of the celebrations was uploaded on social media by the official NBA G-League account. In the video, the OKC Blue players can be seen celebrating with champagne bottles in their hands.
Everyone looked extremely excited and happy after becoming champions. They yelled and jumped in happiness while posing for the cameras on the scene. The players were seen taking photos with the trophy to commemorate their first-ever championship win.
