This year’s OKC Thunder enjoyed a respectable postseason. The Dallas Mavericks beat them in the playoffs, though, as they could not duplicate their stellar regular-season performance, the best in the Western Conference. According to reports, Thunder is prepared to shuffle the lineup and prepare for the upcoming campaign.
According to NBA writer Jake Weinbach, this offseason, the franchise is reportedly chasing Kyle Kuzma, a great player for the Washington Wizards and LA Lakers and a former teammate of LeBron James. They’re prepared to trade Kuzma for Josh Giddey and draft selections.
The OKC Thunder relocation may help the squad with a few issues. In addition to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and length on the court, Kuzma can provide them with a great scoring option. The Thunder needed a scorer besides SGA and Jalen Williams in the playoffs.
After being traded from the Lakers, Kuzma has assumed a leadership position with the Wizards. In 70 games, he averaged 22.2 points per game while spearheading his team’s offense. He may work well with SGA and Williams. Furthermore, it won’t be too tricky for OKC to start Kuzma in the starting lineup.
Reports Suggests OKC Thunders Are Also Looking for More Players for Trade
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report and Tony Jones of The Athletic believe that Lauri Markkanen may be a strong fit for OKC in the upcoming campaign. Despite being on the Jazz roster for two years, he hasn’t seen much success with the group. The most important issue, though, is whether the Jazz will once more trade away their finest player.
Superstar players like Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert were moved, and the Utah Jazz completely redesigned their squad. They haven’t accomplished much after that and haven’t been able to make the playoffs.

Aside from his length on the court, Markkanen possesses a superb attacking game. Markkanen’s arrival can significantly raise the Thunder’s chances of winning the championship the following season, even if OKC is already a strong squad.
Now that the developing phase is over, the squad may trade some respectable players to bring in a star. To get Jazz to consider a potential deal, they may include draft selections and move a young player like Josh Giddey.
